Yesterday was a good Day of Rest! We met Jason at our campsite when he was off work and he biked with us to his place where he made us a carb loaded pasta dinner! It felt good to hang out INSIDE for a change, and we made a great friend in Sisters :) He introduced us to the Grateful Dead and even taught me how to play cribbage! This morning we made banana pancakes (Praise The Lord!!! DID YOU CATCH THAT?!? pancakes, TWO days in a row!!!) and then Jason took us out to get Pepper Spray- you can stop worrying now, Wiecks!! The three of us biked out of town around noon and Jason left us by Smith Rock. Now we're in Prineville, which is the last trace of civilization we're going to be seeing for awhile. Stocking up on cliff bars, water, and propane! We'll be in the desert for the next few days. Maybe I'll use some of that sunblock you made me pack, Mom!
